Face of the month – Ula, our Business Owner

Ula is a very consistent person who always focuses on her goals. As far as Ula is concerned, nothing is impossible. She has been awarded this month’s prize. Congratulations!

Why do you work here? Why Chilid? Why Gliwice?
Last year I saw our Product Designer, Anna Bil’s, presentation about moodboards at one of the Women In Technology meetings. It was the first time I had heard about Chilid, and I knew immediately that beautiful and smart products are being created there. After I joined the team, I found that I was learning at least 15 new things every day, and it is somewhere I can be completely myself. And why Gliwice? Beacuse of Chilid. Basically, I’ve been looking around the whole of Poland for such a place, then it turned out to be right next door.

Do you have any unusual phobias?
I’m not a fan of flying insects.

What’s playing through your headphones right now?
Saagara – 2

How is it possible to look so young after you turn 30 ?
Hey, I’m not there yet…

If you had just 1 box for all of your stuff, what would you put in it?
My personal bag and everything in it!

What’s on your bucket list?
I’d like to travel on the Trans-Siberian Railway, become a singer in a swing band and learn to play the trumpet.

How do you recharge your batteries?
By cutting myself off. There are three ways I do that. I either put my headphones on and don’t focus on anything but the music, or I go swimming, or else I go on holiday by myself. In fact, that reminds me to book a holiday now.

What was your childhood nickname?
I did not have one while I was a child. In high school and at college my friends used to call me Aklu. I don’t think I want to tell you the story behind it…

What’s your favourite dish in your favourite venue?
That is definitely a Sant’ Orsola’s pizza, at Sant’ Orsolas Pizzeria, located at Sant’ Orsola ST in Bergamo. Any resemblance to real persons or names is purely coincidental.

What did you get a prize for?
My favourite vote was: “She can sell anything and she’s kind of cool”.

Tell me what is the most interesting part of your work?
First of all, the people I work with. Everyone here is different, with a different personality, and yet we all share the same values. They inspire me on a daily basis and I just can’t get enough of them! And what about the work itself? Definitely switching context 100 times a day. You have to be super focused every time.

Any hidden talents?
I sing songs from Disney animated movies in Czech.

How can someone give you a surprise?
By preparing a meal for me. I’m not the best cook in the world, if I can put it like that.
